Kevin Spacey Teases 'House of Cards' Season 4

Gay rumors have followed Spacey since the '90s since he has never been a celebrity to proudly display his relationships publicly.

Plus, the actor most known for roles in House of Cards, Horrible Bosses 2 and American Beauty, has had issues with the media claiming he must be gay in the past.

In December 1999, The Sunday Times revealed, "His love affair with acting, and the absence of a visible partner in the life of an attractive 40-year-old, has resulted in misunderstanding and Esquire magazine's bet-hedging assertion two years ago that he must be gay."

"'It was a fiction,' Spacey said, adding, 'An irritating one, but just a fiction none the less.'"

That Esquire article was from 1997 and in 1999 he also spoke with Playboy calling Esquire's story on him "a lie."

Gawker reported Tuesday several new gay rumors about the seasoned actor.

A Defamer post from Friday is what set all of this off. The reader who wrote about Spacey revealed that he and the actor were both at the Burke Williams Day Spa in Santa Monica in the late '90s and detailed Spacey's sexual advances, including the actor rubbing his crotch through his towel in the sauna.

Another rumor Gawker reported on claims Spacey is at least bisexual.

The reader who submitted the claim dished that their ex-sister-in-law met up with the actor in a New Orleans bar and they ended up spending the night together, but the reader added her home was open to many guests and Spacey "offered to blow" one of the male guests "to help him get back to wherever he was supposed to be."
