Mariah Carey reportedly broke down after hearing about Nick Cannon's Valentine's Day date with Nicole Murphy.

According to a source, Carey is crushed after hearing of the rumored couple's romantic date night in New York City, and feels the relationship is a "huge betrayal."

"It crushes her to see Nick land a gorgeous, thin woman," a source told Life & Style on Wednesday. "Mariah thinks he's just rubbing Nicole in her face. She'd heard through the grapevine that Nick was seeing her, but Mariah thought it was low for him to parade her around on Valentine's Day."

On April 30, 2008, Carey and Cannon tied the knot in The Bahamas, and three years later, the couple welcomed twins Monroe and Moroccan. In the years after their 2008 wedding, Carey and Cannon have regularly renewed their vows. Then, in Aug. 2014, Cannon confirmed he and Carey were living separately, and last month, he filed for divorce.

Throughout the month of February, there have been several reports of a possible relationship between Cannon and Murphy, but neither pary has confirmed the news.

Carey, however, is reportedly convinced they are a couple.

"She sees it as a huge betrayal," the insider continued. "Mariah's going to drag the divorce out, and if she gets her way, Nicole will get frustrated with Nick — and ditch him."

Murphy split from former NFL pro and television host Michael Strahan in Aug. 2014, following a five-year engagement. She was previously married to Eddie Murphy.
