When Call the Midwife returns, there will be some unique situations taking place as two of the main characters try to help someone.

'Call The Midwife' Christmas Special Chatter

On Sunday, Carter Matt posted the details on what will be happening in the finale of the British drama. Trixie and Sister Mary Cynthia will work together to help out a woman who's about to have a baby. But what makes this situation more enticing is that the woman is deaf so they might have to work harder on their communication skills.

It's not so much the fact that the lady's deaf that will be a challenge though; when she gets morning sickness, it'll actually be something more serious than expected.

'Call The Midwife' Actress Reveals Something 'Horrible'

Meanwhile, Fred is planning to get married, but his daughter will not be happy about it. So this could cause some extra drama in the family.

Another storyline that will take place in the fourth season will include a woman named Gert who takes care of her ailing husband. According to actress Una Stubbs (Gert), this will be a pretty sad situation.

"She's looking after her husband, but she's not in a fit state herself and she won't let on," Stubbs told What's On TV. "She has always coped and suddenly she can't, but she won't give in. Even though she is frail, she is so stoic and doesn't want to be a bother and I'm a bit like that myself."

Call the Midwife Season 4 is expected to air in the United States later this month on PBS.
