Fifty Shades of Grey author E. L. James is allegedly feuding with the film direction Sam Taylor Johnson over more creative control.

Production For 'Fifty Shades Darker' Should Begin Soon

With the much anticipated wait of the Fifty Shades Darker sequel, fans are eager to find out more details about the production and a possible release date, but according to sources, production has been delayed due to an ongoing feud between James and Johnson.

On Monday, The Latino Post reported that Johnson is ready to leave the franchise because of her issues with James. The site announced that the relationship between the duo has become "absolutely toxic" and the ladies despise each other.

According to the site, the two ladies blame one another for all the problems going on with the film and they have yet to reach common ground.

A source said, "Sam won't be back for the Fifty Shades sequels. She wants out and Universal knows that's the right decision."

Back in January,Variety reported that there has been a delay in the production because Universal executives and E.L. James have yet to reach an agreement regarding the new film.

Apparently James wants to be more involved in the film's script and she wants to take on the role of screenwriter.

"The studio had always intended to sit down with the author after the film opened and discuss next steps, and that has not yet happened," said a Universal spokesman.

Fifty Shades Darker is set to be released some time in the near future. Official release dates have yet to be confirmed, so be sure to check in for more updates.
