Fifty Shades Darker is the second installment in author E. L. James' erotic Fifty Shades trilogy and fans hope they don't have to wait too long before the film hits theaters.

According to the film's new IMDb page, the sequel will follow Christian Grey as he is forced to deal with his inner demons while his love interest, Anastasia Steele must deal with her insecurities surrounding the women from Mr. Grey's past.

Fans on Twitter have been dishing on their excitement about the new film, and it's clear that the stakes are high.

Earlier this month, Variety reported that there has been a delay in the production because Universal executives and E.L. James have yet to reach an agreement regarding the new film.

Apparently James wants to be more involved in the film's script and she wants to take on the role of screenwriter.

"The studio had always intended to sit down with the author after the film opened and discuss next steps, and that has not yet happened," said a Universal spokesman.
