Mariah Carey may be feuding with Nicki Minaj on the set of "American Idol," but the R&B diva can get away from her work troubles with her loving family.

People Magazine has released a series of family photos including Carey, her husband Nick Cannon and the couple's set of 1-year-old twins, Monroe and Moroccan.

The album is a mix of portraits and personal snapshots that show off the family's private life and give fans a sneak peek into what it's like to be part of the Carey-Cannon household.

One shot shows Carey with Monroe and Moroccan during a swimming lesson, while another features Carey snuggling up with Moroccan in bed. The photo set also includes a shot from the twin's lavish first birthday celebration, which was an all-white affair, and the family's 2011 Christmas card.

The twins' names hold special meaning for the couple. Moroccan's name was chosen for the Moroccan-style hotel room where Cannon proposed to Carey, while Monroe is named after famous bombshell Marilyn Monroe.

The babies were born on April 30, 2011 - Carey and Cannon's third wedding anniversary - by Cesarean section after the pregnancy proved too problematic for Carey and became a health hazard.

"I was afraid I wasn't going to be able to walk properly again. It was a huge strain," Carey told "20/20" in 2011. "I would sit and then someone would have to help me up. I couldn't go even to the loo by myself. It was just like, 'What are we doing? Are we going to the hospital?' No, I'm gonna stick it out, I'm gonna keep taking this medicine to keep these babies in. ... I made it to 35 weeks and then the doctor said it wasn't safe anymore."
