Nick Cannon may already have several partners who bore his children throughout the years, but it appears that one of them made a lasting impact on him as he revealed in an interview that he still loves his ex-wife Mariah Carey.

Speaking to Entertainment Times, the former "America's Got Talent" presenter told co-host Nischelle Turner in the Bahamas that he considered his connection to the singer a "fantasy love."

The father of seven said revealed Carey is a person that he "will always love."

"I will never have a love like I had with Mariah. If I had the opportunity, if it could be the way that it was, I'm there," he said.

He later clarified that he was talking about the "fantasy" and thinks that if he could have that same vibe where he's at that point of life and age, he would do it again, but he's in a different state at the moment so it's impossible.

"Clearly, there is a lot going on in my life now that's completely different from that," he added.

Speaking about second chances, the TV personality revealed he won't be getting another shot at getting back with the "Emotions" hitmaker as she doesn't "want" him.

"I just show up will all my thousand kids, like, 'Hey, I'm back,'" he joked.

Despite not getting another chance, he still believes that their long-gone relationship was like a "fairy tale." He recalled the moment when he renewed his vows with Carey at Disneyland.

The ex-couple was clad in fairytale-inspired outfits with the singer wearing a Cinderella costume while he donned a Prince Charming look.

It was the time when their twins, Moroccan and Monroe, celebrated their second birthday, so they closed down the amusement park for their family only.

Regarding his current state with his ex-wife, Cannon said they are still "close friends" and the "best of friends," as well as being "great parents together."

Looking back, he still appreciates that time of his life, but they have differences now because they evolved and went in different directions in life.

However, he still insists that it was the "biggest fantasy" of his life.

Elsewhere in the conversation, Cannon opened up about his children with Carey, saying it scares him to see them grow up so fast.

Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon first met in 2005 and they got married in 2008 in the Bahamas. The celebrity couple broke up in 2014 and their divorce was finalized in 2016.
