A recently published interview with Insidious: Chapter 3 director Leigh Whannell, revealed that the movie will give fans more information about Elise's (Lin Shaye) past.

Insidious 3 To Be A "Specter Of The Further"? 

CineMovie had visited the set of the movie last year, and deatails from that interview have come out now. Perhaps story had been kept locked until now as it would give away too many spoilers at that time.

Shaye is the only actor, who played a pivotal part, that will be reprising her role in the film, other than the characters of Specs and Tucker, who were her assistants. The movie is supposed to play a prelude to Insidious Chapter 1 and 2.

Fans "Will Love The Continuation" Of The Horror Franchise 

"Being able to go back and being able to tell a little bit of an origin story and to have Elise alive again," Whannel said. "I love Elise as a character, especially Lin Shaye as an actress, so I wanted to see Lin Shaye alive and I wanted to dig into her back story."

The movie also stars Dermot Mulroney and Stefanie Scott. On the set visit, CineMovie also got Scott to talk about being part of the indie horror franchise. The actress revealed that she was a fan on the first two movies.

"They're really creepy, it makes the hair on your arms raise and it just freaks you out instead of just putting blood on your face," she said. "It's really thought out and the characters are developed with a great back story. It's not only a scary movie but it's also a really touching story."

Insidious 3 will hit theaters on April 3, 2015.
