Fifth Harmony has a lot in common with One Direction so it's no surprise that the girl group has shared their thoughts on Zayn Malik's departure from the British-Irish boy band.

Wednesday One Direction released a statement on their Facebook that Malik would be leaving the band for good, effective immediately.

Previously, Malik had taken a break from the band's current tour, but now he is departing for good.

"I feel like it is now the right time for me to leave the band," Malik said in the statement.

Fifth Harmony, like One Direction, came together on their respective version of The X Factor and Simon Cowell has a lot to do with their careers.

Three members of 5H took to Twitter when the news broke that Malik has left the band.

Ally Brooke Hernandez, Camila Cabello and Dinah Jane Hansen were fans of the British-Irish band before their time on the American version of The X Factor.

They showed signs of understanding Malik's decision in their tweets for the most part aside from some shock.

Hansen seemed fine initially as she tweeted, "I love you when you love you" with a red heart emoji, but things took a drastic turn quickly.

"Wait what!??" she tweeted soon after with two crying emojis; the ones that really show the waterworks.

On Thursday she tweeted, "Maybe it's not about the happy ending .. Maybe it's about the story," which could still have something to do with her feelings and thoughts toward Malik leaving Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, Harry Styles and Liam Payne.

Cabello spread love on Wednesday.

"[M]uch love to [Z]ayn and much love to the 1d fandom," she tweeted, adding a reference to the boys' time on their version of The X Factor.

Hernandez also spread love for Malik, the rest of the band and all of their fans since the news is clearly affecting all parties.

"Nothing but pure love," she tweeted.
