Castle (Nathan Fillion) and Beckett (Stana Katic) will find themselves in harm's way on the next episode of ABC's Castle.

'Castle' Star Still Uncertain About Show's Future

ABC has released a new sneak peek for the next episode of Castle, which is titled Habeas Corpse, with Castle and Beckett digging up a buried body. The duo are talking about an upcoming talent competition through the Policemen's Benevolent Association.

Beckett is a bit worried about the "routine" she is going to do with Castle, saying, "probably gonna trip, my dress is gonna split, video's gonna go viral."

"Now you're just sounding paranoid," Castle replies. "Where is this coming from?"

"I'm just saying, Castle, it could happen," Beckett worries. "There's a reason why Captain Gates doesn't get up on the stage and have fun."

Castle quips that he assumed it was because "she was genetically incapable" of having fun.

It is then that Beckett's digging finds success. The pair discover a body bad and pull it out, but things go south very quickly. A gun clicks and it becomes clear that Beckett and Castle are in danger. A masked man with a gun appears behind them and says, "Put the bag down and step away from the body."

Castle quips that "I think we may have just dug our own graves."

It is not surprising that things take a serious turn in this episode considering it involves the death of Richie "The Pitbull" Falco, a personal injury attorney who has competitors and clients willing to kill him. It remains to be seen what will become of Castle and Beckett but they will likely talk their way out of their grave situation.

Castle airs Mondays at 10 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
