According to TMZ, one of the young stars of the show, Ciara Bravo, who portrayed anorexic patient Emma at the fictional Ocean Park hospital, raked in more than $250K for her role on the series.

Bravo, who was 17when she took the gig, had to file a minor's contract with the court system, making her pay public record-and she raked in $20K per episode, which adds up to an estimated total of $260,000 over the course of the show's 13 episodes.

It is unclear if her fellow young co-stars-Charlie Rowe (Leo Roth), Nolan Sottillo (Jordi Palacios), Zoe Levin (Kara Souders), Griffin Gluck (Charlie), Astro (Dash Hosney), and Darren Kagasoff (Hunter)-were also paid at the same level.

The series was cancelled after FOX's initial 13-episode order following low ratings in its Wednesday, 9 p.m. timeslot. After the tenth episode aired in December, FOX reportedly tried to find a way to save the show, though they were unsuccessful in their attempts. As a result, the final three episodes that had been taped aired on Saturday, January 31 and February 7.

The series followed the lives of the patients at the hospital, who all dealt with their own respective medical issues, and the trials of trying to be normal teenagers while also dealing with illness. In addition, it also covered the personal stories of the medical staff who cared for them-Dr. McAndrew (Dave Annable), Nurse Jackson (Octavia Spencer), Nurse Brittany (Rebecca Rittenhouse) and Nurse Kenji (Wilson Cruz).
