In the video actors Sinise, Gunn, Daniel Henney and the show's creator Erica Messer give a round up for the upcoming episode and the premise of the spin-off. Sinise plays Jack Garrett, who is a "20-year veteran of the BAU."

The plot for the episode revolves around a family on vacation in Barbados, which is kidnapped by a psychopath who is known to have murdered other families before. The BAU headed by David Rossi (Joe Mantegna) and Hotch (Thomas Gibson) join the international unit helmed by Garrett in Barabados to solve the case. The teams join forces as a very similar case took place in Florida too.

"Jack Garrett is a veteran, been with the FBI for years, comes from a family of FBI agents," Sinise says of his character.

The actor also gives away details about Gunn's character, little about whom had been known before this. Gunn plays Ally Lambert, who is a "linguist, a lawyer who is versed in internation law."

"This team really has to go all over the world and they have to find ways to fit into the culture," Gunn says. "They also have to convince local law enforcement in those countries to help them solve the crime."

According to Henney, his character Matt Simmons' qualities are that he is "wholesome, loyal and selfless."

The actor goes on to define his role in the team: "Matt is also a little rough around the edges, he will take a bullett for the team, he is the field guy he breaks down doors, he is the muscle of the team."

The last character we are introduced to is the "techie" on the team, Russ Montgomery, played by Tyler James Williams. "Monty is the heart and soul of the group," says Williams. "I think he connects specifically with the familes of the victims."

'Beyond Borders' will air on CBS on April 8.
