The live shows for the eighth season of The Voice began earlier this week on Monday and Tuesday, followed by the live results show on Wednesday.

Who Made It Into The Top 12 On 'The Voice'?

During the live results show, Christina Aguilera, Blake Shelton, Pharrell Williams and Adam Levine's teams were narrowed down to three members each.

Levine shocked many though with the contestant he opted to save. Two members of Team Adam made it through to the Top 12 via public's votes, but Levine then got to pick the final contestant, which came down to Tonya Boyd-Cannon, Nathan Hermida and Brian Johnson.

Which 'Voice' Contestants Are Earning Praise From Nick Jonas, Matt McAndrew & More?

Levine picked Brian to join Joshua Davis and Deanna Johnson to represent his team in the Top 12.

Brian is not originally a Team Adam artist. He began his Voice journey on Team Blake, but during the knockouts Levine stole him and has decided to keep him around over Hermida and Boyd-Cannon, whom began their journeys with Levine.

Some fans of The Voice have been a bit harsh on Twitter since Levine chose Brian to move on in the competition.

On Thursday, Brian quoted a Twitter user who said Levine made the "wrong choice" by picking Brian and that Boyd-Cannon should have moved on.

Brian played it off cool by saying, "[T]hanks for your support," but that fan's thoughts aren't even the worst.

"Sometimes America is stupid AF and @adamlevine is too," another Twitter user shared about Levine's decision to keep Brian.

Again, the contestant responded with great poise.

He quoted one other outraged Twitter user that wanted someone to "enlighten" them about how he managed to make it through.

Brian's former teammate Hermida explained that Brian is "an amazing person and talent," which is why Levine picked him.

Regardless of some disappointed individuals, Brian is hard at work prepping for his performance for Monday. On Thursday he tweeted about doing "vocal warm ups".

Tune in on Mondays and Tuesdays starting at 8 p.m. ET for Season 8 of The Voice on NBC.
