There might be some good news for Insidious fans as chapter 3 might not be the last movie to come out of the franchise.

Insidious 3 Demon Played By Actor Who Portrayed Sloth In Seven

In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, director Leigh Whannell, dished about the possibility of sequels to Insidious: Chapter 3.

"This third film really sets up the Insidious universe to go on, if it was successful enough," he said. Whannell went on to state that the possibilities were limitless in a way, as Elise (Lin Shaye) is back, and a bunch of different movies could be made placing her in "different situations with different families."

Insidious Chapter 3 To 'Dig Into Elise's Back Story'

"Now you have Elise, the central character, as a medium, and she has her two kind of bumbling assistants, and you have all these years between the third film and the first movie: You've got 2009, 2010," he said. "Great years! I can imagine [it] being set up as almost a James Bond-esque franchise where Elise goes into different situations with different families, and is fighting or defeating these different demons. As far as it actually happening? I'm not sure yet. I'm actually quite superstitious about films [before they are] released. I always have been, but that's gone into overdrive now I'm a director."

Insidious Chapter 3 also stars Dermot Mulroney and Stefanie Scott.

Insidious: Chapter 3 will hit theaters on April 3, 2015.
