CBS has signed on actress Cush Jumbo for season 7 of The Good Wife.

The Good Wife Renewed For Two More Seasons?

E!Online reports that Jumbo will have a recurring role on the legal drama, but nothing has been revealed about her character yet. In the past the actress has worked on Getting On and Torchwood, and also co-starred with Hugh Jackman in the Broadway adaptation of The River.

This move makes sense, as the show will be losing a pivotal character this season as Archie Panjabi, who plays Kalinda Sharma, is set to make her exit. Also, Jess Weixler, who played the sub-detective Robyn, has also not been seen too much. It seems like Jumbo might have been cast to fill the void some.

Will Johnny Elfman Return To Pursue Alicia?

In an interview at the PaleyFest with the creators Michelle and Robert King, TVLine got information on the curious case of the missing Robyn. The Kings assured fans that Robyn was very much in the house, and she had not been appearing on the show as Weixler was away auditioning for something else in Los Angeles.

"They never let her out," Robert said. "The secret obviously is that Jess Weixler is in L.A. and going out on auditions," he added. "We didn't want to lose her or kill her off because we love the actress so much."

The way Kalinda's character arc will be concluded on the series has also been kept under wraps. It had been rumored that Kalinda could be killed off but it was being debated that it would seem gimmicky especially after Will's (Josh Charles) sudden death. But it seemed like a possibility as Kalinda life might be put in danger with her opting to testify against Lemond Bishop (Mike Coulter) on the series.

TVLine addressed the question in its spoiler section revealing that Archie Panjabi might have dropped a hint herself. The report revealed that Panjabi had recently tweeted a picture of her and Matt Czuchry, who plays her lover, Cary Agos in the show, with the following caption:

"The last time I film with #MattCzuchry on @TheGoodWife_CBS."

In the image Panjabi is looking very happy and composed, and TVLine's Michael Ausiello suspects she didn't look like she was headed to film a death scene.

The next episode, titled 'The End.' will air on April 19 on CBS.
