"The X Factor" is getting two new hosts: Khloe Kardashian and Mario Lopez.

Rumors have surrounded Kardashian about taking on the project for the past few months and according to E! News, she has been confirmed to be a part of the reality competition show's first dual hosts segment.

She will be joined by Lopez, who TMZ reported was confirmed for the position on Tuesday.

The pair will take over hosting duties from season one host Steve Jones.

Kardashian previously expressed her hopes of hosting a television show. She told E! News in early August the following: "I've always wanted to do hosting or talk-show hosting, so it's definitely something that I would love to do and would be honored to do. To be on such a huge show like that with those judges, I would have so much fun doing that."

Kardashian has had plenty of reality television experience with her family's series "Keeping Up With the Kardashians," and "Khloe and Lamar," which chronicles the married life of her and her husband Lamar Odom. She has hosted two radio shows, but she still is inexperienced in television hosting.

Simon Cowell's opinion, on the other hand, is that her inexperience may be beneficial.

In September, Ellen DeGeneres interviewed Cowell who said, "We have screen-tested a load of people. ... It could be a Kardashian. I think that would work. I'm quite a fan of not putting [experienced] hosts on this show. Because I think it's going to give it a different dynamic."

"We have to find people who have a great chemistry, but Khloé is definitely up there in [the] running," he added.

This won't be Lopez's first hosting job, however. Lopez is one of the anchors on "Extra" and also hosts MTV's reality dance competition "America's Best Dance Crew."
