An 81-year-old man died this week and his family decided his obituary was the most appropriate place to ask people not to vote for Hillary Clinton as she runs in the 2016 presidential race.

On Sunday, Jezebel reported that Larry Upright had a pretty ordinary obituary which talked about his love for his family and golfing, but it was the final line that caught some eyes.

"Also, the family respectfully asks that you do not vote for Hillary Clinton in 2016. R.I.P. Grandaddy," it read.

The message was reportedly included in his obituary because the man "loved politics."

"He was very passionate about politics and probably passed a little of that on, so it was natural for me to think about that," daughter Jill McLain said of putting the sentence in the obituary.

Upright was reportedly politically informed during his life but was never involved in the public political office.

"We have got some very sweet responses and some pretty nasty responses," said Colleen Upright, his wife according to RARE.

The man's said this was not on their own political agenda and that it was all for her late father.

"We did this for him," son Mike Upright said. "He had nothing to do with it other than voicing his opinion time after time after time."

And yes, in case you are wondering, Upright was a "diehard" Republican.

"We know he's up there giggling right now. Just laughing out loud," Mike Upright said.
