Regina (Lana Parrilla) expresses her need for Emma (Jennifer Morrison) in a new clip for the next episode of ABC's Once Upon a Time.

The Author Sticking With Gold As Emma Turns Dark on 'Once Upon a Time'?

ABC has released a new clip from the next episode of Once Upon a Time, which is titled Lily. In the clip, Emma is scanning old newspapers, looking for young Lily.

"Ain't fate a b----," Regina says, startling Emma. "You know this girl. How?"

'Once Upon a Time' Fans Should Be 'Very Concerned' About Emma

"She was my friend," Emma says. She adds, "How is this possible all the kids in the world, the one I end up friends with is the one my parents banished?"

After Regina tells Emma that there are "powers beyond our understanding" out in the world and that Snow (Ginnifer Goodwin) and Charming (Josh Dallas), she still doesn't feel any better.

"So the only friend I ever had wasn't even my friend by choice," Emma says with regret.

"I know it hurts doesn't it, I've been there too," Regina says. "You think it was a coincidence I just so happened to adopt the savior's son? Our actions are our own but fate pushes us. Maybe it's time to push back."

Regina then says that she has to go to New York in order to rescue Robin Hood (Sean Maguire) from "my insane sister," of course referring to Zelena (Rebecca Mader).

"You have to find this girl to redeem your parents and show Gold he's wrong about you, that he can't change you," Regina tells Emma. "What do you say we help each other?"

While Emma doesn't think she needs a "babysitter," Regina reaches out and admits that she needs Emma.

"You lived in New York, I've barely been outside of Storybrooke," Regina admits. "How 'bout it, Swan, how 'bout we make today the day we both beat fate."

"Swan Queen" fans will surely be delighted by the prospect of another Emma and Regina adventure, especially considering they both truly need each other.

Once Upon a Time airs Sundays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
