Sawyer Sweeten and his twin brother Sullivan portrayed Geoffrey and Michael Barone from 1996-2005 on the sitcom Everybody Loves Raymond. He was in 139 episodes and stopped acting once his time on the sitcom came to an end.

Unfortunately, Radar Online reported tragic news on Thursday, in which Sawyer committed suicide while visiting his family in Texas, which his rep confirmed.

"Sawyer was visiting family in Texas. He went on the front porch and killed himself with a gunshot to his head," a source close to the family told the entertainment site.

The source added that the 19-year-old's family "is absolutely devastated by this tragedy."

Sawyer's older sister Madylin, who also starred on Everybody Loves Raymond as Ally Barone, wrote a post on her Facebook on Thursday night, confirming the sad news of the loss of her brother.

"At this time I would like to encourage everyone to reach out to the ones you love. Let them have no doubt of what they mean to you," she said.

On Wednesday, Sawyer, Sullivan and Madylin's mother Elizabeth posted a photo on Facebook of the three siblings together at the TV Land Awards in 2010, which was their last public appearance together.

"Love my big kids!" she gushed.

Sawyer's former costar Ray Romano released a statement to Radar Online about his loss.

"He was a wonderful and sweet kid to be around," Romano said, adding, "My heart breaks for him, his family and his friends during this very difficult time."

Another former costar, Patricia Heaton, shared similar sentiments via Twitter.

"Prayers for the Sweeten family," she stated.

He "was a funny and exceptionally bright young man. He is gone from us far too soon."

Sawyer would have celebrated turning 20 on May 12.
