While Bobby Brown is reportedly the one to make medical decisions for his daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown who is recovering from a medically induced coma, he has filed for being the one to control her estate as well.

Bobbi Kristina, who is in a rehab treatment facility after being in a coma for almost three months, is the only child of Bobby and late legendary singer Whitney Houston. The latest reports say that Bobby is hoping take over his 22-year-old daughter's estate and become her guardian.

The news comes just after Bobby made claims that Bobbi Kristina had woken up from her coma. But her grandmother and Houston's mother, Cissy Houston, quickly denied his statement and released one of her own recently.

"This is a family matter involving sensitive information. We hope to resolve this in a manner that is respectful of Bobbi Kristina's sensitive health information. The Houston family has always looked out for the best interest of Bobbi Kristina Brown. The family has done so all of her life and will continue to do so. We trust that others have the same objective."

Cissy has also said that Bobbi Kristina is suffering "global and irreversible brain damage and remains unresponsive."

As for why Bobby would make the cryptic statement that Bobbi Kristna is awake, his wife Alicia Etheredge-Brown said he was in an "emotional" statement.

She added that Bobbi Kristina "has made it out of ICU, opened her eyes, and started a rehabilitation that will be long and hard."
