Paris Jackson has had a bit of a rough time since her father the King of Pop Michael Jackson passed away in June 2009, but she seems to be doing much better these days.

The newly 17-year-old returned to her life in Los Angeles with her family and apparently a new beau according to a report from Radar Online earlier this month. This report came after she spent 18 months in a treatment facility and attending boarding school in Utah due to her suicide attempt in the summer of 2013.

Chester Castellaw is an 18-year-old soccer player who is regarded as "an incredibly kind and sensitive young man who has been nothing but supportive and understanding of Paris," according to a source very close to the late singer's family.

Paris is apparently smitten with the soccer player and her family seems to adore him.

"Her family seems to like him and they are happy that he comes from a privileged background in Beverly Hills because they are very protective over the children's inheritance and they want to make sure that he is with her for the right reasons," a source revealed.

Paris turned 17 earlier this month and spent it with her family despite a different report from the entertainment site claiming she and her older brother Prince are not getting along.

Plus, nothing more has surfaced about a rift in the family.

She has been keeping a relatively low profile on social media for the most part since returning to her family's home in California.

She is still supposed to star as the lead in the upcoming novel to film adaptation of Lundon's Bridge and the Three Keys, which officially "moved into the first phase of production" on April 15 according to its Facebook.
