Justin Bieber just can't seem to let go of his former love, Selena Gomez.

On Monday night, Bieber and Gomez attended New York City's Met Gala separately, but on the way out, Bieber was sure to make his feelings for his ex-girlfriend clear.

"Selena looked gorgeous at the Met Ball," Bieber told TMZ as he pulled away from the event in a black SUV.

Bieber and Gomez split in early 2014 after many years of on-and-off dating. However, since the couple's split, they have been seen together a number of times. Most recently, Bieber and Gomez were spotted having dinner together in Beverly Hills.

"Gomez, 22, turned heads at the annual fashion bash in a custom ivory silk crepe Vera Wang Collection gown with a plunging back and black tassel detailing," Us Weekly reported on Tuesday. "She accessorized with platinum jewelry by Lorraine Schwartz and an ornate white flowered headpiece. Bieber, meanwhile, sported a Balmain velvet blazer with golden dragon embroidery, which he teamed with black pants, a black shirt, and a black cummerbund."

Although Bieber and Gomez weren't seen together during the event, Us Weekly's source claimed the singer appeared happy to be in attendance at the annual fashion event.

"Selena looked really happy," an onlooker told the magazine. "She seemed to know everyone there and talked to several other celebs."
