The 21-year-old golfer and the boyfriend of overnight celebrity Annie Verret opened up on how last year's experience at the Masters shaped him into becoming the winning champion he is today.

"This year at the Masters, I was in the lead after two rounds. I was able to look back and say I got a little bit ahead of myself, towards the top of the leadership at the Masters the year before," Spieth said in Wednesday's Bleacher Report story. "I didn't have enough experience to not let my mind wander."

The golfer then dished on how he's using this particular tournament to help him do well at the Players.

"It's easier for me to just look at the back on this year's Masters for this week and take that kind of confidence, verus revenge off of last year," he said. "That's what winning that tournament has kind of done for me."

It's possible that some of Spieth's confidence could have come from his lady Verret since the two were spotted sharing a kiss the day he became the big man of golf.

When Spieth described what that day was like, it was something so amazing that he couldn't even process it.

"This was arguably the greatest day of my life," he said, posted on ABC News. "To join Masters history and put my name on that trophy and to have this jacket forever, it's something that I can't fathom right now."
