Will Jordana Brewster's Mia Return In Fast and Furious 8?

The main draw was of course the tribute the movie paid to Paul Walker. Recently, Universal Chairman Donna Langley also stated that they paid great emphasis on casting for the film, and that was a prime attraction in the Furious series.

"[Paul Walker] brought something very unique and very special to the franchise, but we've always tried to up the ante both with the casting and what the movies are about," Langley said at the event.

Furious 7 Should Win Best Oscar, According To Vin Diesel

To bring Fast and Furious 8 to pass muster, the creative team needs to start thinking about strong A-list stars that could come on board.

Some reports suggest that bringing back strong characters like Eva Mendes' Agent Fuentes from Fast and Furious 2 and Han (Sung Kang) and Gisele (Gal Gadot) could help.

Even Walker's younger brother Cody, who helped finish his character arc in Furious 7, has been rumored to have expressed interest in joining the Fast and Furious 8 crew.

More recently, MTV proposed that The Wire's Idris Elba would make for a great fit considering he was car aficianado and speedster in real life, made evident by a Discovery series he was currently filming, entitled Idris Elba: No Limits.

Some publications have already started to speculate about the casting for the next film and wishlists are up. Recently Billboard suggested Jaden Smith join the crew as a protege to Tej (Ludacris).

Furious 7 hit theaters on April 3, 2015.
