Jen Arnold from TLC's The Little Couple has faced some frightening situations lately, one of them involving her health being in danger.

'The Little Couple' Star Jen Arnold Thanks Fans For Support

On Friday, In Touch posted details from the memoir Life is Short (No Pun Intended) where Arnold revealed her life-threatening scare before she discovered she had cancer. During a trip to India, the reality star experienced dangerous vaginal bleeding after she underwent an operation to treat a nonviable pregnancy.

"It seemed unreal that I might have a real health crisis on top of everything else that was going on," Arnold wrote. "And yet the bleeding persisted and then started to get more serious."

The woman expressed how shocked she was that this was happening and how concerned she felt that the doctors in India wouldn't be able to treat her. Due to her dwarfism and skeletal dysplasia, she would need special treatment.

"I became worried that if for some reason I became unconscious due to more blood loss and shock, the people treating me would not know how to care for me," Arnold explained. "This couldn't be happening and yet it was."

Arnold saw her gynecologist right when she returned home to Houston, and her husband had been by her side the whole time the scare was happening.

"Bill told me months later that he had tracked my entire journey on his phone, never sleeping the entire night and making sure any plane I was on was not diverted, which could mean a medical emergency for me," she said.

The memoir will be available in stores on Tuesday, May 26- the same night when The Little Couple returns to TLC.
