The 16-year-old told Yahoo! Music on Thursday that he was constantly "missing home" while competing on the reality singing competition.

"I'm going be seeing my dogs, so I'm probably going to be playing Frisbee with Tanner," he dished, referring to his chocolate lab who lives on the farm amongst one other dog, 20 cows, 14 chickens and a donkey.

Fredericks was eagerly greeted by a few of the farm's cows upon his return.

On Saturday he tweeted, "Look who's coming to see me!" as he shared a couple of photos of the cows on the farm.

Roughly an hour prior, he was happy to wake up in his own room with the sunlight shining through his window.

He also told the music site that he could never picture himself permanently living in a city like Los Angeles.

"I love my home back on the farm. I would visit L.A., but it would never be my home. I can take trips and stay in hotels for a while, but I always want to have a farm to come back to," Fredericks revealed.

The Voice returns for its ninth season on NBC in the fall.
