He would perform at open mics and various farmers' markets.

Fredericks has proven he is one very talented teen, but he dished he was super nervous prior to his blind audition.

He managed to get Williams, Adam Levine, Christina Aguilera and Blake Shelton to turn almost right away from the start of his audition, which he claimed was "a big shocker!"

He went on to pick Williams as his coach and has remained on Team Pharrell throughout the competition.

"I picked Pharrell because I watched him last season and I felt like he was very humble and he also talked a lot about originality, which I think really speaks to me as an artist," Fredericks shared.

The young musician even dished he formed quite the bond with his former teammate Mia Z.

"I'm still in touch with Mia, but it's very difficult not having her here anymore because I felt like she was kind of the person I could lean on," Fredericks revealed.

This Voice contestant had continued to do well though regardless of losing a good friend in the competition.

"I'm just so happy that people are enjoying the music that I'm making," Fredericks said.

Tune in on Mondays and Tuesdays starting at 8 p.m. ET for Season 8 of The Voice on NBC.
