Amber Marchese of Bravo’s The Real Housewives of New Jersey has given fans an update on her battle with cancer and it’s safe to say that it's good news.

Marchese told People magazine that the cancer did not spread past her breast.

“The surrounding tissue was not cancerous. It was literally just the tumor that was canerous. We caught it in the early stages. It is nothing short of a miracle.”

She added that she is okay now but had “a lot of pain” after waking up from a biopsy that took out the cancer.

“I’m glad it’s over.”

The recent medical drama wasn't Marchese's first bought with breast cancer. She'd first been diagnosed with the disease and had a double mastectomy in 2009. But this past April, she discovered a lump, which led doctors to confirm that the cancer had returned.

“I can’t even begin to describe the feeling you get when someone says you have cancer. Then to get it again after fighting so hard. I had several surgeries including a double mastectomy and chemotherapy along with other systemic treatments. I thought it was behind me.”

As for what’s next, she has yet to decide if she wants to undergo chemotherapy treatments. But either way, she said she is “very blessed” to have found the lump while she was simply enjoying a television show with her husband, Jim Marchese, on Good Friday.

“My doctor had thoroughly examined me for the past six years and never found anything.”
