Lynch has been motion-captured and scanned for a digital transformation in Black Ops 3, which is set to launch on November 6. The video below shows off some of the process, as well as a few words from Lynch about appearing in such a big game.

Additionally, the star player and game developer have teamed up with ESPN to put Lynch on a cover of ESPN the Magazine, as you can see above. This will be a first video game cover for ESPN, which now has a story on its website about Lynch and Black Ops 3 featuring many excited quotes from the player.

"Marshawn Lynch is the perfect match for Call of Duty," says Eric Hirshberg, CEO of Activision. "I mean, he's a guy who fills stadiums, crushes competitors and has a Beast Mode. What could be more Call of Duty than that?"

Black Ops 3, from what we know so far, puts a heavy emphasis on cybernetics and human enhancement, which play a large role in the story and gameplay alike. This is portrayed in the ESPN cover, with the athlete sporting a mechnically enhanced arm. Lynch will portray his own character in Black Ops 3 when it launches this November, which he thinks is an even bigger sign that he's "arrived" than anything else.
