Mariah Carey has come to an agreement with her former nanny who claimed she was fired for getting too close with the Fantasy singer’s twin children.

The woman, Simonette DaCosta, took legal action against Carey and her estranged husband, America’s Got Talent host Nick Cannon for what she said was wrongful termination. Documents were filed June 9 that revealed the two parties had reached a settlement agreement.

While it’s a private agreement, what is known is that the claims against Carey and Cannon were tossed out.

In the papers, DaCosta told a judge that she nurtured the superstars’ children since they were just babies, The Jasmine Brand reported earlier this week. But Carey felt a certain way about DaCosta giving them too much “affection” and punished her because of it.

But her complaints didn’t end there. She said that Carey worked her more than 100 hours a week at times and was never paid for the extra hours. She wanted to receive back payment for the overtime as well as compensation for Carey not following proper labor laws.

Of course Carey clapped back. She did say DaCosta worked as a nanny but only from October 2013 to February of 2014. DaCosta lived with them but Carey said she was always given money for the work she did.

She added that DaCosta flat out lied about being fired because she was too nurturing for the twins. She also shut down DaCasta’s claims that Carey violated labor regulations. She said she believes DaCosta only filed the lawsuit because she was upset with her.
