Brown, who is Houston’s only child (R&B singer Bobby Brown is her father), was slated to receive in the area of $20 million as an inheritance from her mother’s estate. But Bobbi Kristina’s health has not been the same after she was found unconscious in her bathtub on Jan. 31.

She was in a coma for nearly three months and is now in a rehab treatment facility. It’s not clear what her status is right now, but in the latest news her grandmother, Cissy Houston, claimed that she was diagnosed with irreversible brain damage.

The way that Whitney’s will was written guaranteed that Bobbi Kristina would receive the money, but she would get it in installments. She was set to receive roughly $2 million when she turned 21 last year. Her next amount is set to come when she turns 25 in three years before getting the rest on her 30th birthday. But with her uncertain condition, many are wondering what will happen if Bobbi Kristina doesn’t make it to that milestone day. If the worst case scenario does become reality, Bobby is next in line to receive whatever money is remaining. However, the will also notes that should Bobbi Kristina die before her 30th birthday, Whitney’s family will receive the estate. This would be Cissy and her two brothers.

To add into the mix, Bobbi Kristina’s longtime boyfriend said they became husband and wife back in January of 2014. Bobbi Kristina also backed the claims at that time. But any sign of an official marriage (such as a certificate) hasn’t been found.
