The Jack Abbott doppelganger (both characters portrayed by Peter Bergman) storyline appears to be at its unraveling point on The Young and the Restless.

Is Lily Going To Cheat On Cane With Joe On 'The Young and the Restless'?

Victor (Eric Braeden) brought fake Jack/Marco in to replace the real Jack and the body count in Genoa City has been on the rise ever since.

Plus, fake Jack/Marco in recent episodes has threatened Victor's life and even pretty much set up Kyle (Lachlan Buchanan) by having him send a wire transfer of a lot of money to in turn have Victor arrested for embezzlement by Paul (Doug Davidson).

Fans of the CBS soap can rest easy since Victor will not be getting killed off. At least not anytime soon!

Braeden has been on the soap since 1980 and just recently Jessica Collins who portrayed Avery from 2011 wrapped her time on the soap so it doesn't seem likely for the network to get rid of one of the longest-running cast member's characters now too.

On Friday, Daniel Goddard who portrays Cane on The Young and the Restless tweeted a photo of the cast saying goodbye to Collins. Goddard wasn't actually on set for her last day of filming, which was earlier in the week on June 16.

Furthermore, Braeden teased on Friday he has been filming scenes with "some of my favorites." He appears to have many more scenes coming up with his onscreen wife portrayed by Melody Thomas Scott and hinted that "some surprises" are most definitely on their way in the future for the soap this summer.

So Victor is still going to be in Genoa City for the time being!

The Young and the Restless airs on weekdays at 12:30 p.m. ET on CBS.
