Greg Rikaart is an openly gay actor (as of 2013) and has been part of The Young and the Restless family since his character Kevin Fisher was brought into the soap in July 2003.

Back in April the soap star dished toGay Star News on the red carpet of the 42nd Annual Daytime Emmys all about Kevin.

"Kevin's never been a Lothario," Rikaart shared, which is true given his history with some of the female characters on the soap, including Jana Hawkes (Emily O'Brien), whom Kevin married, but it was a short-lived marriage, lasting from 2008-2010.

Will A Star From 'The Young and the Restless' Exit From The Soap In A Shocking Way?

That aside, when Kevin first arrived in Genoa City, he was viewed as an Internet predator and went on to give Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) a sexually transmitted disease.

Kevin also had romances with Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) and Angelina Veneziano (Diana DeGarm), but they never lasted since as the actor said, Kevin is far from a Romeo.

Presently on the soap it appears as though there is a possibility for Kevin to become more romantic with Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes), but the actor would like to see his character "come out" as gay.

Rikaart recently chatted with The Justin Root Show last week, which can be viewed below, in which he shared while his character may not be gay, he is "the closest thing we have to a gay character."

"He's certainly not the Lothario on the show. He's had a lot of problems with women. He doesn't know how to treat a woman. He knows how to give them STDs and not be nice," he explained, adding, "I think fans of the show who know who I am in my personal life are rooting for Kevin to have a secret, which I think would be fun. It's something I've discussed with my bosses."
