It sounds like there's going to be a change of plans in Bobby Shmurda's upcoming trial.

Is There Going To Be A Bobby Shmurda Movie?

On Friday, BET spoke to the rapper's attorney, Kenneth Montgomery, where he mentioned how the trial was supposed to happen this Thursday, the 25th. But with 13 defendants involved with the case as well as unturned discoveries, the case probably won't happen till a later time.

"There's 13 defendants in the conspiracy case, each of them charged with different underlying charges and conduct and the government just ordered swabs from my guy and it takes time to get the swabs done, DNA wise," Montgomery explained. "There's other issues and more discoveries to come, so I suspect on the 25 that the case is going to be adjourned for some time, which is more realistic going forward."

False Report Claims Bobby Shmurda Was Killed In Prison?

So how far into the future could the trial happen? The public might want to focus on something else for now since Shmurda's attorney is looking at fall "at the earliest." He also mentioned that rappers might shut Shmurda out and only moral support can be given in his situation as he remains in jail on multiple charges, one reportedly being conspiracy to commit murder.

"Culturally, he's had a big impact on the scene. He has an attachment to the street and people are enthused by that," Montgomery said. "We got to extinguish the effects of him on the culture and what are you expecting these people to do. Unless you have financial property in the sum of the $2 million (Shmurda's bail amount), there's really nothing you can do. You can give moral support."
