The next season of Fox's Bones may feature the return of one of the main character's brothers.

Will Brennan & Booth Return To The Jeffersonian For 'Bones' Season 11?

Jack Hodgins' (T.J. Thyne) brother Jeffrey (Jonno Roberts) may be coming back to Bones in season 11, according to a new TVLine report. Bones executive producer Stephen Nathan spoke with site and revealed that they wanted to bring him back in season 10 but there was an issue.

"We were dying to see his brother [in Season 10], but there was an availability issue with [Roberts]," Nathan explained. "But we will definitely see him again. It's a wonderful storyline, one that we definitely want to go back and explore much more."

How Much Did The Stars of 'Bones' Know About Finale Twist Beforehand?

As fans know, Jeffrey Hodgins was first introduced in the season 9 episode The Heiress in the Hill. Jeffrey has schizo-affective disorder and expressed in the episode how he believed only a few select people can see through the "static" between the real and the nonexistent.

It is unknown in what capacity Jeffrey would be brought back, though it would probably relate in some way to something going on in Jack's personal life.

In the mean time, Bones fans are wondering what's ahead for the series after the season 10 finale which showed Brennan (Emily Deschanel) and Booth (David Boreanaz) leaving the Jeffersonian seemingly for good. There will apparently be a time jump between season 10 and 11 though it remains to be seen how Brennan and Booth will return to solve more crimes.

Bones season 11 is set to premiere this fall on Fox, returning to its regular Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT timeslot.
