At the launch of the Fast and Furious themed ride, Supercharged, at Universal Hollywood, Jason Statham recently confirmed his return for the sequel of Furious 7.

Vin Diesel Confirms Fast 8 To Be Set In New York City?

Statham had been pretty tight-lipped about the plot of Fast and Furious 8, but a report has already come up with some interesting possibilities for Deckard. The Daily Mail suggested two possibilities for Deckard in the next movie. First, is the more predictable route, which is Deckard continuing to play villain. But the alternative sounds very exciting: Deckard joins Dominic's (Vin Diesel) crew. While the report has no basis for this suggestion it does state that Dom's crew consists of ex-cons anyway, and maybe Deckard will start to see reason as he is locked away in high security prison. Additionally, more of Deckard playing villain might get boring. It would be more interesting to see a new baddie.

Statham previously spoke to Access Hollywood on the red carpet talking about Furious 7's immense success.

Paul Walker's Character To Be Replaced By Brother, Cody, InFurious 7 Sequel?

"Yeah, it just shows the fanbase is very unique. They really do relate to the characters. They love these characters. They've followed them for years and years," Statham said.

The actor also talked his excitement at returning for the next movie in the franchise.

"We're already talking about doing another one, Part 8. I'm a newcomer, I just got invited to the party on this last one. It is nice to know I'll be doing another."

While Statham was careful about not giving away any spoilers he did admit to the fact that he knew about some of the storylines in the plot for Fast and Furious 8, saying, "there is some great stuff that I already know about."

Fast and Furious 8 will be released on April 15, 2017.

Furious 7 hit theaters on April 3, 2015.
