It's time for Outlander to diverge from Diana Gabaldon's texts.

'Outlander' Season 2: Black Jack Trauma 'Reverberates' Through Claire & Jamie's Relationship, EP Teases Fallout

The Starz series played it close to the texts in season 1, but fans will be in for a shock when Jamie and Claire head to Paris. Tossing predictability out the window, showrunner Ron Moore will have viewers on their toes as the events of Dragonfly in Amber unfold.

"I think there's more adaptation," Moore said of his interpretation of book 2, according to Entertainment Weekly. "I think there are changes."

Don't worry; Moore's reimagining isn't boasting change for the sake of change. Any omissions/additions the EP makes will be to make the narrative clear and concise for viewers.

"Book 2 is just a more complex book. It's laid out very differently, as a result it took more wrangling to try to figure out how to translate this particular story into our season," Moore explained, assuring viewers that Gabaldon has given the adaptation her seal of approval. "There were more complications, there were more characters, there were more shifting points of view. It was a bigger task."
