It appears that Ranbir Kapoor's movie career might have a decent shot at shining bright when things get changed in his latest project Bombay Velvet.

According to Monday's report from Bollywood Life, the movie is known as the actor's "biggest dud," but it may not stay that way; there might be a re-edit of the film. And if this happens, then Thelma Colbert Schoonmaker, who's worked with acclaimed director Martin Scorsese for more than four decades, is supposed to be on the line to make the changes.

If all goes well, then Kapoor's career might take off from here in a better light.

A previous report from India West seemed to indicate that Kapoor, who's reportedly been dating actress Katrina Kaif, hasn't been in the best spirits lately due to the movies he's been in that haven't done too well. While some may wonder if the actor really is depressed or not, his cousin Kareena Kapoor Khan pointed out that he is doing just fine and doesn't need anyone to pour out any words of wisdom.

"Why will he be depressed? He doesn't need advice. Nobody should give anyone advice. And I am no one to advice anyone," Kareena said. "It's fine. Ups and downs are a part of life. He has his biggest weapon- his talent. We all go through various phases in our life, and it doesn't matter at all. In fact he should smile and I am sure he will rise a phoenix."
