Lady Gaga's role in FX's American Horror Story: Hotel will have a fashion component, as one would expect.

'American Horror Story' Star Sarah Paulson 'Borrowing' Moves From Jessica Lange?

American Horror Story co-creator Ryan Murphy spoke at the show's Comic-Con panel over the weekend about Hotel. Gaga's character was among topics of discussion at the panel.

"The best words you can ever hear are, 'Please hold for Gaga.' She was lovely," Murphy said. "She told me she had an acting background. She told me she wanted to play someone evil. I said, 'OK, you came to the right place.'"

Murphy spoke about how Gaga's character will involve fashion, which will fit the pop superstar quite perfectly considering her outrageous outfits in years past.

"She is very collaborative, incredibly fun," Murphy revealed. "Part of her role involves fashion. You want her looking a certain way. Designers have been coming out of the woodwork."

Little else has been revealed about Gaga's role, except that she will be involved in some type of love triangle with Matt Bomer and Finn Wittrock's characters. It is also not yet known if she will be the show's new leading lady or if she will just have a supporting part.

Either way she will be in good company, with such acting talents as Sarah Paulson, Kathy Bates, Angela Bassett, Denis O'Hare, Evan Peters and more among Hotel stars.

American Horror Story: Hotel premieres in October on FX, though the network has not yet announced a specific premiere date.
