They were one of the royal couples of country, but Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton are officially calling it quits when it comes to their marriage.

The two officially filed for divorce July 20 after four years of marriage and a decade of being together, shattering the hearts of their most avid fans with the shocking news.  

"This is not the future we envisioned," they said in a joint statement. "And it is with heavy hearts that we move forward separately. We are real people, with real lives, with real families, friends and colleagues. Therefore, we kindly ask for privacy and compassion concerning this very personal matter." 

Is Blake Shelton Lusting After Christina Aguilera?

There has been no official reason given for why the pair are ending their marriage, and neither has commented on it on social media.  

While the news is still heartbreaking for fans, it is less shocking to those who previously scrutinized the couple, who have dealt with a large number of swelling split rumors over the years, with some even alleging that Shelton had a wandering eye.  

Back in May, reports even circulated that Shelton was finding his Voice co-coach Christina Aguilera sexier than his wife, who had recently lost 45 pounds and was less curvy as a result.  

"When Miranda realizes her horndog hubby had been gawking at Christina Aguilera's rockin' bod, the outraged country songbird pitched a fit," sources reported at the time. "Blake thinks that she's overdone it. The dieting made her boobs shrink. He has been urging her to eat more, ordering in pizzas and other fattening food to their Oklahoma ranch." 

Earlier reports also indicated that Shelton had cheated on his wife, and even claimed that both suffered from problems with alcohol.
