Even though the series won't be getting a sixth season, odds are likely that a lot of enticing storylines will be happening in the remaining episodes. In fact, the writers just celebrated their victory of getting 100 episodes down.

Vanessa Marano, who plays Bay on the show, recently told Just Jared that the final season will have some new stories as well as old ones.

"This entire season has a lot of returning storylines actually," Marano said. "We left a lot of loose ends open last season so now we're tying everything together. There's a lot of...it's very much like a new year because so much time has passed and the girls are at these new places in their lives."

"You have to revisit stuff to just show how much time has passed," the actress added.

Switched at Birth Season 5 is expected to premiere this April on Freeform.
