New Mansion, New Policy: Kim Kardashian's New Home Will Be Jewelry-Free
The Wests have only been living in their new mansion for a few weeks now and Kim has already set a new house rule: no jewelry allowed. According to TMZ, Kim decided to put the policy in place because she doesn't want to be the target for thieves.
Learning From The Past
On Oct. 3, 2016, Kardashian was attending Paris Fashion Week with her sister Kourtney Kardashian and her mother, Kris Jenner, until things took a turn for the worse. Later that night, it was reported that Kim was robbed at gunpoint of jewelry worth at least $8 million dollars.
The incident stunned Kardashian fans and even caused Kanye to immediately walk off stage at his concert in Queens.
Kim Kardashian Recalls Paris Robbery
As Kim recalled the incident, the reality star stated that the men were dressed in police paraphernalia and demanded to give up her $4 million-dollar ring.
"They grabbed me and took me into the hallway. I was wearing a bathrobe, naked underneath. Then we went in the room again and they pushed me on the bed. And it was this time, they tied me up with plastic cables and taped my hands, then they put tape over my mouth and legs," Kardashian recalled.
Kim also mentioned that two diamond Cartier bracelets, a gold and diamond Jacob necklace, Lorraine Schwartz diamond earrings, a gold Rolex and other items were also stolen from her.
The incident has traumatized Kim so much that she refuses to have any jewelry in her and Kanye's new mansion.
No Jewelry Policy
As previously reported, there were also a few home robberies in the Los Angeles area, including two of her family members, Kendall Jenner and Scott Disick. Both Jenner and Disick homes were robbed in 2016.
According to sources, Kim's huge collection of bling is being stored elsewhere and will be under constant supervision. Although the Wests have decided to not have jewelry in their new home, they will still have armed security guards 24/7.
The couple's decision to enforce the "no jewelry policy" comes at the perfect time as they're expecting their third child via surrogate sometime this month. The two are already parents to daughter North and son Saint.
