Shonda Rhimes has done it again.

The television producer who created the most exciting and thrilling shows that have graced our TV screens is once again giving her audience something to look forward to in 2018 and people are already losing their minds!

Welcome to Shondaland

It has been confirmed that there will be a two-episode crossover of Scandal and How to Get Away with Murder is coming sometime soon this year. The popular television shows air both on Thursdays during the TGIT segment.

Rhimes made history when she created two of the most powerful female characters, Olivia Pope and Annalise Keating. The two leading ladies, who are portrayed by Kerry Washington and Viola Davis respectively, have shown women in high positions with power, wit, and a "get things done" attitude that wasn't showcased in previous years.

Scandal and HTGAWM have dominated the ABC network, along with Rhimes other popular series Grey's Anatomy, as the most-watched shows. Rhimes created Scandal in 2012 and HTGAWM in 2014.

While it has been announced that this will be the last season for Scandal, the show is sure to go out in true "Shonda" style. Washington and Davis both teased fans with photos on their Instagram pages.

Rhimes even teased a sneak peek of the script for the anticipated episodes.

"‪People. It's happening. @petenowalk, you ready for this? #TGITCrossover #HowtoGetAwaywithScandal‬," Rhimes wrote in the post.

The Scandal edition was directed by actor Tony Goldwyn, who portrays Pope's on and off again lover, Fitzgerald Grant III. The HTGAWM episode was directed by Zetna Fuentes.

This couldn't come at a better time, as the entertainment industry has begun to make changes in giving more women opportunities and better pay. On New Year's Day, Rhimes, Washington, and other A-list celebrities came together to create the "Time's Up" movement. It is also an anti-harassment campaign that will continue to make efforts in making the studio environment safe for everyone.

What happens when you put two of the most powerful women together for two hours? We'll have to wait to see!

TGIT will pick back up on Jan. 18, 2018.
