Holmes shared a black-and-white photo of Suri with her 1.3 million Instagram followers. The young girl turned 12 and the actress celebrated her daughter's birthday with a special tiara designed with the words "Happy Birthday." Suri also wore a headband adorned with small ribbons.

The Dawson's Creek alum captioned the photo with a series of heart emojis.

There is no denying the similarities that Suri and her mom shares. The physical resemblance is obvious, with the young girl growing up to look just like her mother. Fans also pointed out the similarities. One commentator said Suri is Holmes's "mini me" and growing up to be a lovely young woman like her mom.

Meanwhile, another fan praised the actress for a job well done on protecting Suri. She also applauded Holmes for raising her daughter to be a great person.

Last year Holmes took Suri, her daughter with ex-husband Tom Cruise, out parasailing for her 11th birthday. They spent the day at the beach with family and the actress shared several snaps from the trip on Instagram. Holmes also surprised her daughter with cakes and balloons.

Suri Is Priority

The Batman Begins star previously said in an interview with Town and Country magazine that Suri will always be her priority when it comes to balancing her career and family. Holmes said her daughter's upbringing is paramount to her work as an actress and director.

"It's very important that I'm present and she has a stable, innocent childhood. I feel so blessed to do what I do, but there's nothing in the world better than watching your child succeed," Holmes said.
