On True Blood last night, fans got a glimpse into Ginger's (Tara Buck) beginnings with Eric (Alexander Skarsgard) and Pam (Kristin Bauer van Straten).

Buck, who became a series regular for the first time this year, revealed that it's important that True Blood fans see how obsessed her character is with Eric.

"You really get her infatuation with Eric" in Season 7, Buck told The Hollywood Reporter. "It is something she has spent her life on every day, from morning to night, some day having either a sexual encounter or at least being validated in some way by him. I think that becomes her sole mission in life."

Viewers find out that it was Ginger's idea to turn the video store into the vampire bar that would eventually be the place for Bill (Stephen Moyer) and Sookie's (Anna Paquin) first date.

"We see that truly, she is so obsessed with Eric that she would do anything for him. You see that in the moment she sees him, where you know it's over for her, over for life," Buck said about the first time Ginger saw Eric. "You see it, and then you see that Eric realizes what an asset that could be."

Buck continues to say that when Pam glamoured Ginger and took credit for the bar idea, Ginger just ends up being more loyal. "It's the first time that Ginger probably is glamoured and her mind is erased, and what's left is she is completely loyal," Buck said. "She doesn't necessarily remember the details of how this place came to be, but they see they owe her something."

Ginger will continue to appear on True Blood's last season. True Blood airs Sunday nights at 9 p.m. ET on HBO.
