The preview for the upcoming episode of season 2 of Ray Donovan reveals that Ray (Liev Schreiber) is going to bed the Boston Globe reporter that is investigating Sully's murder.

The Globe journalist is working on a book about Sully (James Woods) and the circumstances surrounding his death. Vinessa Shaw plays the part of the journalist, and as she is seen wheedling Ray to dig up the dirt, she realizes he is hard to break. Could the seduction be a trick on her part to get information out of Ray? In the clip, she is seen still lying in bed as Ray gets ready to leave, asking him if he does this often. Ray doesn not respond in the affirmative.

To make matters worse, Ray is then seen making love to his wife in the shower.

The preview also focusses on how things are spiralling out of control for Ray, as FBI Head James Cochran (Hank Azaria) reminds him about how he doesn't have a hold on anything, pointing out his father Mickey (Jon Voight) and the reporter (Shaw).

It seems like things will not let up anytime soon for Ray in this season. In a recent interview with International Business Times, producer Mark Gordon suggested that the Donovan family will have a whole lot of baggage to deal with.

"I think we've done it," Gordon said. "Ann and the staff of writers have created a season which takes us, really, right from where we ended the first season, almost literally, and allows us to follow Ray as the circumstances that he's found himself in and the circumstances his family is in continue to plague them and continue to create for problems for them."

The second season premiered on July 13.

Episode 4 of Ray Donovan will air on Sunday, Aug 2 at 8 pm ET/PT on Showtime.
