On Friday, Boston.com posted an interview with the Brooklyn Nets star who mentioned that he's not retiring at this point although there's a definite possibility that it could happen sometime soon.

"At this stage, it's always somewhere lurking in the back [of my mind], whether I admit it or not," Garnett said. "Being truthful with you, sometimes I think about it. I saw Paul [Pierce] the other day in New York and we had a conversation. At this stage, when you know that things are, not taking for granted, but more appreciated, it crosses [your mind]. I wouldn't lie about that."

Garnett was then asked if this would be his last year involved in the NBA where he didn't have an official answer.

"I don't know," he said. "I like to say I give each year its own and I assess it at the end of that."

The player also dished on his relationship with Boston, a place he shares a special connection with.

"It's always love here," he said. "It's always appreciation I can never give back, other than a salute. Winning is infinite and I've always had that special relationship with this city."

Garnett also said that he takes "everything with appreciation" and he feels very "fortunate" to be a part of Boston.
