Actress Gal Gadot, who is slated to play Wonder Woman in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and many more DC films, recently opened up about criticism she's received from comic book fans.

Like almost every actor cast in Batman v Superman, Gadot suffered some criticism when it was first announced that she would be playing Wonder Woman. Since the Amazonian superhero is often shown as muscular and big-busted, some fans thought she was too small to fill the role.

Gadot spoke with Israeli publication YNet (translated by Batman-News) about the criticism she's received and how it doesn't really bother her.

"They said that I was too skinny and my boobs were too small," she said, laughing, discussing comic book fans' opinions of her casting.

"I'm really lucky nothing in my life was instantaneous. When I was younger I would take criticism really hard. But now it mostly amused me," she added. "The true amazons had one boob so it won't bother them in their archery. So it's not going to be like real amazons. We always try to make everyone happy but we can't."

While Gadot did not reveal any plot details about Batman v Superman and her role in the film, she did discuss what powers she will have in the DC Cinematic Universe.

"She has unbelievable endurance. She is exceptionally strong. She can jump really high and practically fly. She know tons of martial arts styles. She is a strong and serious woman," Gadot explained.

Gadot will return for a solo Wonder Woman film as well as the Justice League two-parter after her debut in Batman v Superman.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is scheduled for release in theaters on March 25, 2016.
