The universe is big. But when one sits on their comfy sofa surrounded by gravity, they are not able to quite grasp just how big it is. However, this week, we may get to see a glimpse of one of the wonders of a celestial event - "the supermoon."

This as NASA revealed that Earth will again experience the "supermoon" this week. A "supermoon" is a point in orbit where the moon comes relatively closer to Earth, making itself relatively brighter and visually bigger.

During this phenomena, the moon is 14 percent visually larger on Earth than usual, and 30 percent brighter.

Luckily, this month's "supermoon" is going to be bigger, literally.

The Popular Science stated that on Nov. 14, the moon is going to pass Earth at its closest encounter since 1948. For over half a century, the report added that the moon has never been this close.

Thus, the upcoming "supermoon" event this month will be truly monumental and historic, especially for space enthusiasts. Though the phenomenon is not as rare as one would think, it being closer than ever is truly amazing.

Francais Express also mentioned that the moon has not been this close for 70 years, while NASA pointed out that it will take another 18 years for the moon to be this close again.

To witness this celestial event, one can get a telescope and choose a higher ground for a full view of the "supermoon".

Among the best places to go is the beach, where the obstruction is less; at the rooftop, to see the silhouettes of the city; or at the mountain, to accentuates the celestial scene.
