The actors portraying Gabby Petito and Brian Laundrie in an upcoming film were spotted wearing a touching tribute to the slain YouTuber. Unfortunately, touching as it is, it is only frustrating the family further because not only they did not want this movie made, they did not want the actors wearing this tribute piece, either.

Skyler Samuels, 28 years old, who portrays Petito in the film, was observed wearing a blue bracelet identical to those worn by members of the Petito family during court appearances.

The 31-year-old actor Evan Hall, who portrays Laundrie in the Lifetime movie, was also spotted wearing a similar bracelet.

The bracelets read "Justice for Gabby" and "Gabby Petito Foundation" in remembrance of the late vlogger who died last year while traveling with Laundrie.

Her parents have stated that the "Justice for Gabby" wristbands represent Gabby's life, not her death.

Jennifer McNamara, a family friend, told The Sun a year ago that the color blue was chosen to memorialize Petito because her eyes were blue.

"Her eyes, she had these incredibly blue sparkly eyes, her mother described them as like a teal color," McNamara said. "When we bought the ribbons, we had to buy turquoise because the teal was a little more green than blue. So it took us quite a bit of poking around to find the right color, but that's what it's meant to represent," she added.

The Gabby Petito Foundation was established last fall, only weeks after the abduction and death of the YouTuber.

The bracelets and other things are for sale on the website of the foundation.

The latest images were taken just days after images from the film's set revealed the actors portraying Gabby and Brian engaged in an intense scene.

Filmmakers were shooting a scene where the two were "screaming at each other," one source revealed to The Sun. In the same scene, "Brian pushes Gabby, then gets in their van and drives away."

After filming the sequence, the two actors who played the couple appeared to embrace. Currently, the film is being shot in Utah, including just outside of Salt Lake City.

Previously, it was stated that Gabby's mother issued a statement to The AWARE Foundation stating that the family disapproves of the video.

"We thought our followers should know that the Lifetime movie on Gabby Petito has no connection to the Petito family nor did they give their approval," the statement shared by the foundation reads.

Clearly, Lifetime decided to continue filming the movie despite this protest, and is doing the whole thing on its own initiative.
